2013 Baton Rouge Fall Scrabble Tournament

The Baton Rouge Fall Scrabble Tournament will be held on October 19-20, 2013. We will be playing 12 games over the two days.

In addition to providing competitive word-play, the Baton Rouge Scrabble Club will also be providing plenty of excellent snacks and refreshments, and hot lunch on both days. One of these lunches will feature Louisiana red beans and rice.

The highest placed Louisiana resident in Division A will be dubbed the 2013 Louisiana Scrabble Champion.

We will be playing at the Baton Rouge Bridge Club. The facility is just a block away from the tournament hotel, the Comfort Inn Suites University.

You must be NASPA member to participate. Send in entry fee and entry form to Mike Waugh before October 16, 2013. Late entries are $20 extra and will be cash only.

Game schedule and divisions: 12 games total–round robin with king of the hill, if necessary. Gibson rule.

3 Divisions rated split at 1500 and 1100 approximately, with the option to change divisions depending on the number of competitors.

Entries: Division A: $70, Division B: $60, Division C: $50. Late entries are $20 extra.
